A recent report from theScore esports has caused a stir by claiming that FlyQuest are confirmed to be joining the North American League of Legends Championship Series, with team owner Wesley Edens reportedly having an obligation to pay $10 million USD to keep their spot.

Amidst the reports, Riot Games made a statement addressing the rumour. A spokesperson for Riot Games said: "Out of respect for teams still in the application process and mutual NDAs, we're not able to comment on any individual applications for the NA LCS."

"We'll be announcing the full lineup in mid-November once the process has concluded and look forward to sharing more details then," they continued. Whilst Riot Games didn't discredit the rumour, they certainly didn't deny it either, and we can expect to see a full list of teams for the NA LCS over the coming weeks.
