There seems to be a lot of things happening at the Finnish studio Remedy, but apparently, Alan Wake is not one of them. In an update on their homepage, Remedy writes that they "want to create more games and hopefully get them out more often." To be able to do so, Remedy now has two separate team doing different things.
One of these new projects is seemingly not something that Microsoft will distribute, and Remedy writes that for a while they have "been developing a brand new Remedy game with a new partner". The other team is doing something different that probably won't be released for a long time. Remedy themselves call it "an early concept, which will turn into another Remedy game sometime in the future".
Neither of these games will be shown at either E3 or Gamescom. Finally Remedy has decided to be honest with fans by saying that "neither of the two projects currently in development is an Alan Wake game".
It remains to be seen who is Remedy's new partner. A reasonable guess is that they want to do multi-format titles and that would make companies like EA, Activision, or Take-Two potential publishing partners.
