Remedy says Control's PC version is "not downgraded"

This comes after the PC specifications were revealed for their upcoming game, requiring rather modest hardware.

Just recently Remedy revealed the modest PC specifications for their upcoming game Control, landing on August 27 (for PS4 and Xbox One as well), but when one fan asked whether this meant a downgrade, the developer responded on ResetEra denying that.

"No, it's not downgraded," was the simple response from Thomas Puha, head of communications at the studio. You can see what we mean by modest just by the minimum specifications alone though:

OS: Windows 7, 64bit
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 / AMD FX 4350
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 / AMD Radeon R9 280X
RAM: 8GB
DirectX: DX11

We've talked to Puha ourselves in the past about Control, as you can see below, and if you're interested in Remedy's newest outing then be sure to check out the recent story trailer as well, giving us a taste of the narrative coming this month.
