Diablo III players can once again relieve the original Diablo, via the Darkening of Tristram special event. As you might recall, this event first started in January 2017, it was repeated in 2018, and now this limited-time nostalgia trip has returned for another bite at the apple this year.

Players can find a portal to the old version of Tristram via Adventure Mode, and while exploring the new/old levels, you will be able to face four bosses from the classic Diablo - The Butcher, Skeleton King, Lazarus, and Diablo himself.

As you might have guessed, you can also earn yourself some exclusive rewards while participating in this event. The Darkening of Tristram is live now and will be available up until February 1 (at 12 pm GMT / 1 pm CET) on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"If you've got the old-gen version of Diablo III then there's just about enough to make it worth a return visit, though you may want to wait until the price drops."
