Red Fly Studios has announced via Reddit their intention to resurrect their Star Wars game based on Darth Maul. The villain of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace became the star of a game for PS3 and Xbox 360, but the project was canned after eight months of production.
Dan Borth, from Red Fly, confirmed that the plan now is to create a demo for the new generation of consoles, which they intend to show to EA, the publisher behind Star Wars Battlefront.
Although Darth Maul was the original star of the game, Dan Borth assumes they will have no problem in changing the character if Electronic Arts prefers another chief protagonist.
"Hopefully EA will see the value in us reskinning our combat mechanic to be more in line with what they are thinking for Star Wars if they are not interested in Maul," he concluded.
