Red Dead Online getting roles and a sort of battle pass

The Frontier Pursuits update is adding a lot next week, including roles with specific XP and rewards for players.

Next Tuesday, September 10, Red Dead Online players can expect the Frontier Pursuits update, including three new Specialist Roles. Each of these has their own unique paths and activities too, meaning you can pursue a whole new direction during your time exploring Rockstar's game.

These roles are Bounty Hunter, Trader, and Collector, all of which have their own items, skills, and more to chase down. You can find out more details on each role via the game's website and news post, including the fact that you earn role XP when you complete the appropriate activities.

That's not all though, as the update also introduces the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Club, an automatic and free way to unlock rewards as you gather XP, including role XP. This grants new clothing, cash, wraps, tonics, and more, and everything you unlock during the membership period (from September 10 to November 18) can be kept forever.

On top of that we have an Outlaw Pass, an upgrade that gives you even more perks at a "reduced cost" of 35 Gold Bars, which sounds a lot like a battle pass. Again this includes clothing, styles, campsite features, cash, and more, with 70 Ranks to progress through, even including Gold Bar gifts amounting to 35.

Do you like the sound of this update?
