This week Red Dead Online expands with a ton of new features yet again, as detailed on Rockstar's site, and one of these is the Wild Animal Kills Challenge, a free roam event that sees you battle against other players in a hunt, rather than attacking each other.
Points are given depending on how big the animal is, with small animals worth one point and large animals worth three, and more dangerous critters will appear as the round goes on, like bears looking to have you for lunch. Bonus points are awarded for these adversaries though.
Head for the Hills is a new Showdown Mode as well, with players taking turns trying to run to their safe house while being hunted down themselves by the others. Two new Showdown Modes are also been added over the next fortnight, these being Public Enemy and Sport of Kings, with more details promised soon.
A Land of Opportunities missions will also be worth pursuing this week, as new players get a bonus of $50 for completing the first mission, called Honor Among Horse Thieves. There's a $75 bonus for completing Kill Them, Each and Every One too, and an extra 10 Gold Bars for completing Destroyed by Grief.
If you visit your Camp Lockbox or Post Office this week as well, you can get the following gift:
5x Potent Miracle Tonic
5x Potent Snake Oil
5x Potent Health Cure
5x Potent Bitters
120x Express Revolver Ammo
Those who want a bit of fashion in their life can get the new Flora Corseted Chemise and Paddon Shirt tops from Wheeler, Rawson and Co, as well as limited supplies of the Plaid Cap, Racoon Hat, and Shaffer Chaps, not to mention the How Dare You emote.
Anyone who has two-step verification on their Social Club account will also be getting a unique and exclusive tint of the Racoon Hat, as well as 10 Gold Bars and $500,000 in GTA Online too.
This week you can also tune into the first ever Red Dead Online community stream on May 31, taking place at 17:00 ET (22:00 BST, 23:00 CEST) and being hosted on a variety of platforms you can find here.
