Razer recently revealed the Razer Core, an external GPU enclosure that lets you plug in a graphics card meant for desktop PCs and use it with select Razer laptops.
But it won't necessarily be restricted to just Razer laptops, the company's Kevin Sather tells Polygon. The Core uses a standard Thunderbolt USB-C connection and could potentially work with laptops from other companies.
"It's on the bleeding edge of these standards," Sather says. "Anyone who adheres to it should have a laptop that supports it."
A select range of Intel NUCs are the only other computers to currently support the standard, apparently.
So far, the Razer Core will begin shipping to the US in April. Pre-orders opened yesterday.
