Rats swarm in the new trailer for A Plague Tale: Innocence

Asobo Studios show more of their bleak world.

If you've been itching (quite literally) for more on A Plague Tale: Innocence, then there's good news coming out of Gamescom, as Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive have provided a brand new gameplay trailer showing us exactly what we'll be getting stuck into next year.

As you can expect with a game with 'plague' in the title, there are rats we have to fend off, and it's really impressive to see these swarms interact with you and the flames that make them disperse. This video also provides a great opportunity to get a closer look at the bleak game world the studio has created, filled with death and suffering.

The game will release next year on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but has this trailer made you more excited than you already were? Perhaps looking at our preview from earlier this year might be of interest too.

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"There are areas where Asobo can look to make improvements in the future, but the studio has delivered an engaging adventure that we thoroughly enjoyed despite its flaws."
