Avalanche Studios and id Software's Rage 2 launches tomorrow, but even before that day arrives a post on Bethesda's website reveals a roadmap of content coming for the game after launch, all of which is outlined in the handy infographic below:
Rage 2 community challenges will kick things off in the launch week, providing free skins to those who complete the challenges, including the Vomit Comet Pistol skin pictured below. This requires you to be online and signed in with your Bethesda account, and expect more challenges this month and next, with the Rage 2 Twitter account and in-game messages of the day telling you more about what's on the way. Bring the Ruckus is also coming as an in-game event this month, but the post has less to say on that.
June, on the other hand, ushers in the "first big game update", bringing community challenges, new Cheats, and major events, including one with a playable mech as a new vehicle, as well as a huge new enemy. This update will be landing for free, and in July we'll get another free update adding an extra vehicle type and enemy as well, with community challenges, Cheats, and skins also on the way.
In August we'll get the first major expansion called Rise of the Ghosts, adding a new story along with weapons, abilities, and vehicles to get the blood pumping. As you might have guessed from the title, this features the Ghosts from the first game, and an update on what they're doing now.
From September to December we'll also be getting more content, including a second expansion in November, but for now the cards are being kept close to the chest on specifics.
