Race of Champions has announced that it will be holding its debut virtual event on June 28. The event will see a star-studded list of participants, with Stoffel Vandoorne and Petter Solberg already revealed to be taking part.

Races will be played within Assetto Corsa and will use virtual versions of the Gran Canaria and Wembley tracks, which have been used previously in the real-life competition.

An open invitation has been extended to sim racers across the globe. To be eligible, fans must register before June 25 and set a hot lap on the ROC Mexico track. The two best-performing racers will then have the opportunity to compete against former eROC champions James Baldwin and Enzo Bonito during the Virtual ROC live stream. The winner of this will then progress to the main event.
