PUBG Mobile World Invitational to take place in Saudi Arabia this August

Attending teams will be fighting over a $3 million prize pool.

As we reported on recently, Tencent has now made a massive announcement regarding the PUBG Mobile World Invitational, and this announcement has revealed where the year's event will take place, when, and how big the prize pool will be.

As a lot of esports are doing this year, the premier event will be heading to Saudi Arabia as a host country, where the tournament will be held in the city of Riyadh between August 11-20. As for the prize pool, there will be a total of $3 million to fight over, with $2 million of that being assigned to the main tournament between August 11-13, and the remaining $1 million being for the Afterparty Showdown between August 18-20.

In other PUBG Mobile esports news, it has been revealed that the 2022 PUBG Mobile Global Championship will be returning this year again, and will feature its own prize pool of $4 million. There has yet to be any further information shared about this event.

Last of all, it has been revealed that Sony Xperia will be the smartphone partner for the PUBG Mobile World Invitational, and that Gamers8 has joined up to this event as a partner as well.
