Sony is performing a six hour PlayStation Network maintenance today, to deploy several back-end upgrades to the network. The maintenance is scheduled to 5h00pm and should end at 11h00pm GMT.
Services like the PS Store, PS Home and Account Management won't be accessible during the down-time, but players should be able to continue to play online if they sign in before the maintenance starts.
Sony also warned that the downtime can be longer if there is reason to perform additional testing. Considering Grand Theft Auto V is launching today at midnight, this seems like a poor choice of timing, especially for European users. But fingers crossed it is back up by then.
