Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water looks like a decent horror game for Wii U and a solid entry for the Fatal Frame franchise - you can read our review here - and it will be available next week in Europe, just in time for Halloween.

Regarding the pumpkin-filled date, the latter of the two attached trailers is about just that, Halloween. The former, however, is a lot less frightful, and more focussed on fan service; Yuri Kozukata and Miu Hisanaki can dress up as Zelda and Samus Aran. We're not sure if that makes sense for fans, but this comes after Nintendo opened themselves up for more collaborations and crossovers.

In other costume-related news, some eagle-eyed users have noticed that the new Western version of the game has been censored. One example pointed out by this comparison video shows a flashback sequence in which the protagonist was originally wearing skimpy lingerie, while in the new European version she wears a shirt and skirt.
