The Pokémon World Championships are nothing new, bringing together competitors and fans in the Pokémon community, but we've just found out about the Pokémon Go Invitational taking place on August 16, seeing trainers battle it out after the opening ceremonies.
You can watch all of these on Twitch, and the competition will see eight competitors fight for glory. We're promised to see "Pokémon VIPs and content creators", but if you're planning to go to the World Championships and have a spectator pass already, you can apply to be the final player of the roster right here, although you have until tomorrow at 17:00 PDT (01:00 the next day BST, 02:00 CEST) to do so.
Are you excited to see more Pokémon Go esports?
