Most successful consoles have had their own selection of older, cheaper blockbusters at some point during their life cycle, whether it's under "best of", "platinum", "player's choice" or some other marketing tag. And it was about time Sony introduced its own for PS4, and this line will be known as PlayStation Hits. This initiative automatically cuts the price of a healthy selection of what could be called PS4 classics, both physically and digitally, to £15.99/€19.99. And there's also a new PlayStation 4 console pack, including the 1TB slim model and a trio of hits.

For now, the list of PlayStation Hits consists of 23 games including both first-party exclusives published by Sony and also third-party games. The Last of Us Remastered, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, and Ratchet & Clank are naturally singled out as highlights as they're included with the hardware bundle, but there are plenty of AAA efforts from several genres to be found here.

This reduced-price lineup launches in Europe on July 18, and the next week in America (with the addition of titles such as Metal Gear Solid V or Battlefield 4).
