PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is already on PC via early access, and it's also coming to Xbox One in the future, which seems to be a good move by Microsoft, as the hit battle royale game shows no sign of slowing down after recently selling over 8 million copies.
One aspect that hasn't been confirmed yet is the crossplay feature between players on PC and Xbox One, but at Gamescom we had a chat with Brendan 'PlayerUnknown' Greene himself to hear his thoughts on the matter.
"We're still discussing this internally. We want people to play together, of course, I want every battle royale player to play against every other, but we have to do it fairly. So we're still discussing it, maybe we'll do just controller vs controller, keyboard + mouse vs keyboard + mouse, something like that. But it's still up in the air; until we launch, we don't know. We're going to have to see, get the game finished and then decide."
Console players would undoubtedly be at a disadvantage, so no doubt there would need to be an option to filter out players on a different platform, but what do you think of the news? Check out the rest of the interview and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
