Play! Pokémon suspended all of its live events back in March of this year when the world was forced into lockdown. Now that six months have passed, the organisers have monitored the global situation but have decided that it still isn't wise for events to continue.

A blog post reads: "Since the initial announcement in March that all Play! Pokémon Program events would be cancelled, we've been closely monitoring the global health pandemic. In keeping with a commitment to ensure the safety of fans, players, and organizers, the Organized Play team is continuing to assess the situation. As of September 2020, we have determined that the Play! Pokémon Program will remain suspended through the remainder of 2020."

League at Home events will still continue to be hosted though, enabling Pokémon Trading Card Game players to compete from the safety of their own homes. Details are said to be soon released regarding Play! Pokémon Team Challenge, which is coming later this year.

Information on Play! Pokémon in early 2021 will also be posted in November.
