It certainly feels as if Plants vs. Zombies has been around for more than 7 years, but alas that's the case. Or rather the game turns 7 tomorrow. To celebrate the anniversary PopCap are running a "mega event" called Birthdayz in Plants vs. Zombies 2.
Plants vs. Zombies 2 Birthdayz offers exciting new content and features, including:
• The return of Premium Plant Jack O' Lantern, a plant that can unleash a flamethrower attack across several tiles in a lane.
• Eight themed zombies, decked out in their Birthdayz best.
• Five limited-time themed collectible plant costumes.
• Birthdayz-themed party levels.
• Earn gems, costumes and coins!
Another way of celebrating Plants vs. Zombies would be to play the fairly recently released Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 - you can enjoy a free 10 hour trial of the full game on PC, PS4, and Xbox One currently.
PopCap's vegetables and undead make a return and this time they're free to play.
