Plants vs. Zombies 2 passes predecessor

Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time is certainly popular. Nearly 25 million downloads in two weeks on AppStore is proof of that, in fact it's already passed the predecessor by in terms of downloads. It should of course be noted that the first game was a paid download.

PopCap Games have released some statistics to illustrate just how popular the game is, but of course, we have no idea just how popular the in-game microtransactions are even if a large playerbase is key to securing in-app spending. The game is expected to hit Android devices later this year.
