Four days before what we thought would be launch day, Daybreak Game Company suddenly decided to delay Planetside Arena from January 29 to March 26. That was approximately three weeks ago, so it seems like something has caught the developers by surprise in the last few days.
Why do we think that? Because they've decided to delay Planetside Arena once again, and this time to a vaguer "summer" release. Their reason for the push is as simple as "polish", so consider us curious as to why they didn't know this two weeks ago. If you'd allow us to speculate: could it be that Daybreak don't want their game to launch while Apex Legends is still very much in the spotlight?
The good news is that this means Planetside Arena will launch simultaneously on PC and PlayStation 4, and the studio has offered to refund pre-orders because of the delay.
Do you think Planetside Arena would stand a chance against Apex Legends in March or was this the smartest move?
