The Gearbox CEO took to Twitter to say that the review bombing on Steam has reassured him as to the choice of platform.

Earlier today we reported that previous Borderlands games on Steam have been getting review bombed due to the timed exclusivity of Borderlands 3 on the Epic Games Store, and now Gearbox's CEO Randy Pitchford has said the following on Twitter about the issue:

"Ironically, that this misuse is possible and that Steam has no interest in correcting this misuse makes me kind of happy about 2k's decision and makes me want to reconsider Gearbox Publishing's current posture on the platform."

When someone suggested this could have been avoided if the deal wasn't made in the first place, Pitchford also responded by saying:

"'I wouldn't hit you if you didn't deserve it. It's your fault I am hitting you.' WTF is wrong with you and this victim blaming bulls***. Kindly f*** off, troll."

Valve is actually working to combat review bombing with a tool they've designed to identify "off topic reviews", which identifies a period of anomalous review activity and hides it from the average review score on Steam.

What do you think of Pitchford's stance?
