Obsidian Entertainment and Paradox Interactive's RPG Pillars of Eternity has already released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but if you've been wanting to try the game out on Nintendo Switch then there's good news, as the Pillars of Eternity website has the announcement that it's coming next week.

"We are very happy to announce that the adventure made possible by over 70,000 backers, the original Pillars of Eternity, is coming to the Nintendo Switch on August 8! Come explore the world of Eora for the first time with the ability to easily take your party and venture forth wherever you go," the post reads.

You can find out original review from 2015 right here, and pre-orders are open now on Nintendo's site, where we also find out that the file size will be 15.8 GB and that we'll be getting The White March parts 1 and 2 with this version.

Will you play this version, optimised for the Switch?
