Phantom Doctrine is a title from CreativeForge Games that we heard about all the way back in August, and we spoke to marketing and PR manager Blazej Krakowiak about the game to find out just what fans can expect from the strategic adventure.

"It's a turn-based, tactical Cold War conspiracy thriller, that's a bit of a mouthful, but it's a complex game," he explained. "It's basically two main layers - the tactical combat, you know, where we go in and do tactical turn-based missions, and also an expanded strategic layer where we manage our team."

"But it's built on a very cool premise. It's an alternate history Cold War where we start either as a KGB or CIA operative who stumbles into a global conspiracy that actually pits the two sides of the Cold War against each other. So we basically realise that the whole conflict is about something else than everyone else thinks, and we are trying to dismantle this conspiracy, but by being also on the run from everyone, because both sides see us as a threat, and the conspiracy is manipulating the global forces in a very tense political period to deploy against us."

Phantom Doctrine is coming our way next year, but what do you think of what you've heard so far about the game?
