Phantom Blade Zero will get its own PlayStation State of Play next week

Phantom Blade Zero pre-orders are live now, but PlayStation and developer S-Game aren't quite done showcasing more of this action-packed, martial arts-inspired thrill ride. As well as an 11-minute trailer showcasing heaps of gameplay, we're also getting a proper deep dive as part of a new PlayStation State of Play, specifically for Phantom Blade Zero.
As announced by the PlayStation Blog, the Phantom Blade Zero State of Play arrives on the 17th of August. Well, if you're in the UK or Europe, it'll actually take place in the early hours of the 18th of August, as it streams live from 03:00 BST/04:00 CEST. The trailer which released alongside pre-orders going live simply isn't enough to cover all of the intricate gameplay systems and the setting known as the Phantom World.
In the trailer, we saw a cameo appearance from Donnie Yen. Ip Man himself is arriving to test our skill in Phantom Blade Zero, and Yen has been a consultant on the game since 2023, bringing his legendary experience to help shape the martial arts and action in Phantom Blade Zero.
Phantom Blade Zero launches on PS5 and PC on the 29th of October.
