It wasn't that long ago that we reported that esports organisation G:loot would be hosting a league (or Global Loot League more specifically) for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds with 80 teams battling it out for a prize pool of $50,000 USD, and now we know that PGL (another big esports events company) has teamed up with the GLL, and that Season 1 of this new league will feature a full LAN final, meaning it'll be in-person.

From April 20 to 22 the tops teams in the league from both the Americas and Europe will face off against one another offline at the PGL studios in Bucharest, Romania, with GLL and PGL promising great production on this final. This studio can host up to 100 players at once, meaning it's great for PUBG's large matches, and the players are promised a "disruption-free and soundproof environment," according to the press release. Also, all equipment is customised so the players can perform at their best.

"We are thrilled to announce this partnership. PGL has an exceptional track record in esports, and the resources needed to make this a truly amazing event. With the already existing GLL production, and the additional LAN expertise from PGL, we can offer the PUBG community something unparalleled in the Western world," said Simon Sundén, VP and Head of esports at GLL.

"The growth rate and interest in PUBG is unrivalled. We are extremely enthusiastic to partake in this development, pushing the boundaries within the esports world. The collaboration with GLL aligns perfectly with our mission, bringing viewers cutting-edge productions of their favourite esports worldwide," added Silviu Stroie, CEO at PGL.

To remind you, the dates for the Global Loot League have been set for February 14, 21, and 28, as well as on March 7, 14, and 21. If you want more information though, check out the GLL website. Do you think PGL and GLL can host a really good final?
