According to a new report by Forbes magazine, PewDiePie has dropped from the top spot on the list of gaming's most important influencers. The Hawaiian Mark Fischbach, better known as Markiplier to his fans, is now the leader of the Forbes ranking. He specialises in gaming, along with other forms of entertainment such as vlogs and real life videos.
The former number one, Felix Kjellberg, or PewDiePie if you like, has had a rough year so far. Starting with a considerable amount of negative press coverage about his anti-Semitic "jokes" and the lost partnership deal with Disney. Although the whole matter has settled down somewhat, it seems like it has had an impact on his power as an influencer.
