Atlus has been sharing a load of information about Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, coming to PS4 and Switch in Japan on February 20 next year, and Persona Central has reported on all of the details, including the first character trailer below.

This trailer features Joker, who you'll remember from Persona 5, voiced by Jun Fukuyama and leader of the Phantom Thieves. You can also find a character and story page on the official website for the game, which provides us with the new screenshots below as well.

On top of that, a recent livestream revealed plenty of new details about the game as well, including gameplay footage, in which Koei Tecmo's director Nobumichi Kumabe played the game on easy mode.

Development is around 90% complete, according to the team, and the story follows the Phantom Thieves reuniting for a summer holiday. This goes wrong when Palaces return though, and character growth is a focus, taking place six months after the original game. We'll also get to meet a new character called Sophia, voiced by Misaki Kuno. She fights using yo-yos and has a Pithos as a persona, joining Hasegawa Zenkichi as another new character.

Tactics are integrated with action in the combat, and we're told we need to use proper skills and personas to succeed, alongside combos, shooting, and perhaps even escaping certain encounters. Time stops when a persona is summoned as well, allowing you to take your time to consider attack range, SP, buffs and debuffs, and more.

Phantom Move is a mechanic that lets you move around using background objects like lights, also using these to deal damage too.

We also know that Persona 5 Sound Set will be landing as DLC for owners of the game with save data from previous games, including battle songs Last Surprise and Take Over.

On top of all of this, we have the news that Persona 5 will be added to the PlayStation Now subscription service in Japan today.
