The Rainbow Six Pro League's second season had its grand finals at Gamescom this past week, seeing the top PC talent for the game battle it out for their share of the $237,500 USD prize pool, although it was to be Penta Sports who came out on top again, repeating their success back in May.

Their performance was pretty solid throughout, as they not only beat fellow finalists Elevate 2-0 to win the title, but their appearance at the final came on the back of two other 2-0 wins over eXcellence Gaming and Fontt in the quarter- and semi-final respectively.

Elevate had to beat Ence and BRK Esports to get to the final themselves, though, so credit must be given there, but it surely can't come as much of a surprise that they were bested by the experienced Penta in the end. Are Penta the best team in the world right now?

"It's in competitive multiplayer where the game shines. The matches are short, intense and always surprising."
