Steam reviews are a very sensitive topic to both players and developers, as it offers players a platform to voice concerns (real or otherwise), while it also has a massive impact on a game's sales. From a game getting massively for not supporting a specific language, to more legitimate and fair concerns. One manner in which other users have been able to balance out and correct erroneous reviews is via comments, but now Valve has disabled these review comments by default on Steam. A user must now actively allow for comments to be written about his or her review. Seemingly this is a direct result of the new privacy policies put in place.

Naturally, the community is up in arms about the change, and it seems as if increased privacy comes with some undesired side effects.
