Already last week it seemed some of the early recipients of PlayStation 4 consoles experienced problems, and as a million gamers now have the console in America there are naturally more reports of failed units.

It's hard to gauge whether the problem is widespread or (more likely perhaps) that this is only a reasonable failure rate for a piece of brand new tech. Reports on Twitter, Youtube, Amazon and the PlayStation community, all refer to a problem where the unit continouously blinks blue instead of the light turning white (which means the TV gets a signal).

Naturally this has been dubbed "Blue Light of Death" by creative internet dwellers, but let's not go as far as compare it to the widespread "Red Ring of Death" problems Xbox 360 suffered in the beginning.
