While we're on the subject of PlayStation 4, Shuhei Yoshida confirmed to us that the console will not support 3D playback at launch. NetherRealm has confirmed that they're very happy with the next-gen console. And Planetside 2, which will be on PlayStation 4 soon enough, is being optimised in Operation: Make Faster Game.
A few Wii U and 3DS related tidbits today, following the latest Nintendo Direct broadcast. The Nintendo 3DS is getting a firmware update next month, and Mario Party: Island Tour has been dated and detailed. There's a new trailer showing ten new things about Super Mario 3D World, the most notable being the inclusion of Super Mario Galaxy's Rosalina as a playable character. Finally, Nintendo are bringing the indies to Wii U this month, check out this Sizzle trailer for more details.
We spoke to Ubisoft's Lars Bonde about delays, performance capture, and privacy issues in Watch Dogs. F1 2013 is heading to Mac next month. Team 17 are returning to third-party publishing. There's new DLC coming to Payday 2 tomorrow (but only on PC), and the Beach Bum Update for GTA Online is coming next week.
