Yesterday Microsoft clarified that the Xbox One wouldn't play 3D Blu-rays, and since then Sony has also clarified their position when it comes to the third dimension.
The confused spread from their recently published FAQ, where it was revealed that the system would support 3D games: "Technically, the PS4 system supports 3D gameplay at launch in North America on day one, though no launch titles are currently 3D compatible."
With the FAQ just mentioning games (that nobody is making), Gamereactor contacted Sony Computer Entertainment president Shuhei Yoshida via Twitter and asked for clarification on whether 3D Blu-ray playback would be supported on PS4 at launch? Yoshida confirmed that the feature would not be available "at launch," but didn't go as far as saying whether it would be introduced at a later point via an update.
