Warner Bros. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor adorns the cover of the next issue of US gaming magazine Game Informer. The title is in development at Monolith Productions (F.E.A.R., Gotham City Impostors, Guardians of Middle-Earth).

Set between the The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy the game sees Talion go on epic adventures in the heart of Mordor. The concept involves a lot of player choice and the world will be shaped according to your decisions. One interesting thing of note is the Nemesis System - that keeps track of every enemy with a unique name and personality. They will remember their encounters with you (if they live), and they will also level up and may want to deal out revenge later.

The game is set to launch next year on PC, PS4 and Xbox One as well as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
