Following on from concerns yesterday due to wording in Sony's updated terms and conditions, company president Shuhei Yoshida has gone on record to calm worried gamers.
The following software usage terms were added yesterday, and while legal text like that is commonplace, given the recent furore surrounding Microsoft's attempts to break away from the established retail model, gamers were nervous that Sony were trying to pull a fast one and limit their right to sell their games:
You must not resell either Disc-based Software or Software Downloads, unless expressly authorised by us and, if the publisher is another company, additionally by the publisher.
It's worth noting that similar wording was included in the terms of usage for PS3 and PS Vita. Yoshida dismissed gamer's concerns with the following Tweet: "If you are concerned about our new European TOS, we confirm that you are able to sell or share your disc PS4 products, including in EU."
PlayStation 4 is set to launch in the UK on November 29. For more details on the console and the games that'll be available on it, head here.
