Valve has put a call out for gamers to sign up for a beta test of the new in-home streaming that they're set to roll out as part of their push into the living room space.

Much has been discussed about Steam Machines, SteamOS and the Steam Controller, announcements that recently exemplified Valve's determination to take PC gaming into the living room. This new feature will allow gamers to stream action from one PC to another in the same home, thereby allowing top-end games running on a powerful rig (in the study, for example) to be streamed direct to the big screen in front of the sofa via a smaller/less powerful PC.

Beta participants will be selected at random from this group in the coming weeks, and as the beta test is due to begin this year, that means it's not going to be long before trials are underway. Best sign up sooner rather than later if you're interested.
