A Kickstarter has sprung up for the new Sega Mega Drive/Genesis: Collected Works, a documentary art book for the iconic machine that looks like a dream come true for nostalgic fans of the old console.

The retrospective is by Read-Only Memory and has been officially licensed by Sega. It'll include production artwork, interviews, hardware manufacturing plans and more. Of course, the book will also consider the games that made the console, taking in titles such as Streets of Rage, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Golden Axe.

The goal is a modest £30,000 (they've already passed £10,000), and there's still the best part of a month to go. For more details on what's being promised, head this way and see for yourself. There's a variety of different pledges on offer, the £250 Special Edition is particularly enticing.
