3DS selling out?

Reports indicate recent surge in sales.

According to MVC, sales of Nintendo's 3DS are starting to gather pace in the run up to Christmas.

The recent release of big hitters Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 has seen the popularity of the handheld rocket, with the Metallic Red model proving particularly popular. The recent price-cut will have also helped.

A source told MVC that "the Metallic Red edition is all but sold out, with other colours also in short supply". This will be a massive relief for Nintendo following an indifferent first year for the handheld console.
