Canadian strategy developer Battlegoat Studios have gone on Kickstarter in the hopes of crowdfunding their next game in the Supreme Ruler series - Supreme Ruler 1936 for PC and Mac.

The game is well in development and the idea is for the extra fund to enable more content:

"Support from Kickstarter will allow us to develop additional Campaigns, Scenarios, and in-game content for the launch of Supreme Ruler 1936. The game will ship with Grand Campaigns starting in 1936 ("The Gathering Storm") and 1940 ("The Battle for France"), playable from many of the major powers. With Kickstarter support we can also add Campaigns from 1941 ("Barbarossa") and beyond.

Supreme Ruler 1936 will also ship with a number of Scenarios, covering many of the major battles of World War II. We'd like to add more Scenarios, especially from later in the war, and would also like to hear about what battles you would like us to include."

Supreme Ruler 1936 will allow for tons of simultaneous real-time conflict across the global map in a fashion players of previous title like Supreme Ruler 2020 and Supreme Ruler: Cold War should be accustomed to.

The campaign is asking for $60,000 CAD and with just $4,048 accumulated in the first four days (launched on October 17) it' struggling a little bit to get off the ground.
