Dancing games have replaced music games as the new casual gaming craze, and the American market researchers NPD have announced that sales for dancing titles have increased 326 per cent compared to 2010.
While this increase only counts for the American retail market it is still a strong indication that the genre is still expanding. Among the most successful games we find the Just Dance series and Dance Central, but there are also games like Zumba Fitness and Michael Jackson: The Experience that make up the numbers.
According to NPD's research, eight out of ten players are female, and most players are teenagers or younger.
