Dealings between retailers and publishers are seldom played out in public as going public rarely benefits either part. However a case has arisen in Switzerland where specialist retailer Alcom.ch have explained why they won't carry PS4 products this year in their shop as Sony only allowed them a pitiful 3 units at launch with an additional 3 units before the end of the year.

The retailer explains in a lengthy rant (far longer than we could possibly take the time to translate here) on Facebook that they will honour the pre-orders of the first six customers who pre-ordered, while they will remove any PS4 products and cancel pre-orders for everyone else. Furthermore they explain that they have been in contact with Sony on a monthly basis updating them on their record pre-order numbers and that they fear this move comes as a result of Sony merging their Swiss division into the larger German division and they in turn simply cut out the specialist retailers opting to send most units to larger chains like Media Markt operating in both countries.

Is this a sign of just how limited PS4 stocks will be at launch or simply a local issue in Switzerland as a result of something the German PlayStation decided?
