These days there are a lot of news reports with sales numbers and EA have announced that Battlefield 3 has sold through a massive 8 million copies, with 12 million having been shipped to stores.
While it is an amazing number, it is still dwarfed next to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 that did 9 million in its first 24 hours.
