A now deleted Instagram post that has been doing the rounds on Twitter and Reddit suggests that the fourth Matrix movie could be titled The Matrix Resurrections.
The original post might have been removed from Instagram, but YouTube user NeoMatrixology was able to capture a repost and shared it within the following video. The Instagram post showcased was from love_lana_wachowski, a user who shared a video from a makeup artist who worked on the upcoming film. Here they showed a gift of a coat that had a pretty interesting thank you card inside.
The first line of text on the card might not be visible, but what can be seen is: "...during these extraordinary times in the making of Matrix Resurrections. Wir lieben euch, Lana & James."
Of course, we should remember that this is just a rumour and it could turn out to be a complete hoax. It doesn't seem like we will have to wait too long though to find out the film's true name, as it's due to hit cinemas on December 22, 2021.
