With the film industry being struck by so many delays as of present, it's pleasing to hear about a project that is starting to take shape and gain momentum. According to actor Dolph Lungren, filming for Aquaman 2 will commence this summer in London, England. The film is set to star Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, and Patrick Wilson, and it currently has a screening date of December 16, 2022.

Lundgren let the cat out of the bag during a virtual Wizard World panel. In it, he said: "I may be doing Aquaman 2 this summer, shooting in London and that's coming out the following year in the theaters, they hope."

This is pretty exciting news indeed, but we should also remember that shooting for the film is largely dependent on the current global situation. If the film does make its 2022 release date, however, then it will be released in the same year as long-awaited blockbusters such as the Uncharted movie, No Time to Die, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
