Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time is out on iOS worldwide, but on Android it's only available in China. The reason? A truckload of money, at least if you're to believe the head of EA Labels Frank Gibeau.
Giant Bomb reports that Gibeau saying the following during an "internal town hall meeting":
"Apple gave us a truckload of money to delay the Android version [of Plants vs Zombies 2]."
Meanwhile, Apple responded to Giant Bomb saying was simply not true. The latter speculated that instead of a cash deal perhaps there was some "co-marketing deal" in place as is often the case with exclusivities.
When will we see Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time on Android outside of China then? In about a month said Gibeau and noteworthy is that the Android version has been outselling the iOS version in China 6-to-1.
