Japanese Index Corp, parent company of game publisher Atlus, have been rumoured for a buyout for some time now following bankruptcy filings appears to have found their new home with Sega Sammy.

Plans for a deal that will see Sega take control of Index Corp from November 1 for a neat sum of 14 billion yen ($141 million) according to Nihon Keizai Shimbun. All assets will transfer on November 1. The two companies have already had business dealings as Sega have distributed Atlus titles in Japan since 2012 and on the Sammy side of things Atlus have been involved with their pachinko machines.
