Hinterland Games, a new Canadian outfit founded by industry veterans, have launched a Kickstarter campaign for their "first-person post-disaster survival simulation" The Long Dark.

The Long Dark is a thoughtful, first-person survival simulation that emphasizes quiet exploration in a stark, yet hauntingly beautiful, post-disaster setting. The breathtakingly picturesque Pacific Northwest frames the backdrop for the drama of The Long Dark.

The Long Dark is announced to be in development for PC, Mac and Linux and Hinterland Games are looking for $200,000 (CAD) to make it happen. The campaign has just started so an early bird pledge ($15) will secure a digital copy of the game.
