The ongoing Kickstarter campaign for Video Games Live: Level 3 is well underway, and the team are looking for an injection of funds as they hope to push past their $250k target.
As it stands, the campaign has attracted nearly $160k in funding, still some way short of their final target, and with only 9 days to go before the campaign concludes on September 13. You can pledge your support by following this link.
Level 3 is to be the third studio album based around the touring concert event that features music from some of the most popular video games out there. Led by industry vet Tommy Tallarico, the album is set to include an orchestra, a huge 60+ person choir, and a full rock band.
The organisers are hoping to put together between 15 - 18 tracks, and are targeting a list of prestigious titles (their shortlist includes: Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger/Cross, Shadow of the Colossus, Skyrim, Journey, Monkey Island, Destiny, DOTA, Assassin's Creed, Earthworm Jim, Silent Hill, Zelda, Mario, Pokemon, Super Smash Bros., Metroid, Donkey Kong Country, Mass Effect, Katamari Damacy, World of Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, BioShock, Beyond Good & Evil, Metal Gear Solid, Street Fighter II, Uncharted, Portal, Tetris, Red Dead Redemption, Devil May Cry, Megaman, Soul Calibur, Resident Evil, and Pac-Man), although the final setlist will be subject to publisher approval. If funded, the album will likely be released on February 18, 2014.
