Mickey Mouse has starred a fair number of games through the years, most recently Epic Mickey which is rumoured to be getting a sequel. And older readers may recall the Mega Drive classic Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse, a game that may now be given the remake or sequel treatment (there was a sequel called Land of Illusion on Master System and Game Gear, and a sequel of sorts called World of Illusion on Mega Drive).
Siliconera reports that Disney have moved to trademark Castle of Illusion once again and notes that it's a little too much trouble to go to for just a digital re-release of the game. The game has not hit Virtual Console or other downloadable, because of the license issues - Sega made the game, Disney owns the rights. I guess we'll have to wait and see what plans Disney have for Castle of Illusion.
