Dead Island: Epidemic announced

"Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena" revealed at Gamescom.

Deep Silver has made a Gamescom announcement in the form of Dead Island: Epidemic, a game that they're describing as a ZOMBA (Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena).

Players will band together in three teams of four, fighting each other and floods of zombies and "freakish" bosses. Some enemies will require co-operation from all three teams, meaning they'll have to take a break from killing each other and work towards a common enemy.

As with other games in the series, there'll be a crafting system and weapons can be combined. Unlike MOBAs, players will fight over shifting objectives rather than static bases. Here's a few screens for the game, that as yet has no release date.
